The Fra’al Psi-Ghoul, like many of the Aether-Golem fabricated war machines of the Fra’al xeno species, are artificial creatures piloted remotely by Fra’al Psi-Pilots. Such Fra’al are adept psyker puppeteers, and can pilot these hulking constructs across great distances from within in their Battlecruisers using micro-rift tunnels through the immaterium.
Whereas a single Psi-Pilot can puppet one such construct, equating approximately in size to Imperial Terminator equipped astartes, multiple Fra’al must form gestalt psychic ‘Convocations’ to adequately control the larger Psi-Fiends, Psi-Tyrants and Titan Aether-Golems. Such xeno-monstrosities wield powers equivalent to the Psychic-Titans of the Imperium’s Ordo Sinister in function if not form, terrorising numerous ‘Slave’ worlds across and at the edges of the Fra’al nomadic interstellar empire within the Galactic Northwest of the Milkyway.
This Psi-Ghoul possesses the characteristic Control-Orb centered in the creatures head, the body composed of Fra’al nano-metals, psycho-active crystals, and micro-glass filaments. It wields a deadly Aether-Cannon, that channels immaterial warp energies conjured by the Fra’al pilots monstrous psykana as well as a rending molecular-edged claw.
Though powerful such Aether-Golem constructs are used sparingly by Fra’al pirates and raiders, instead using them to strengthen already captured beachheads on enemy vessels. Occasionally fielded en mass as heavy support when multiple Fra’al Conclaves harmonise into a mutually beneficial Sistrum Battlegroup, assaulting terrestrial targets for sustained resupply occupation and using enslaved larbour for fleet repair.
