Regicide (Game)

Officially published artwork from Warhammer 40,000: Regicide, a chess-inspired turn-based strategy game developed and published by Australian indie studio Hammerfall Publishing. Released on PC via Steam on September 8, 2015, followed by iOS in May 2016 and Android in July 2016, the game blends classical chess with the brutality of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Two factions are available, the Blood Angels Space Marines and the Orks, playable across two modes: Classic, which follows traditional chess rules with explosive kills, and Regicide, a deeper combat mode with two phases, tactical abilities, and psychic powers. The servers were shut down on October 19, 2022. Artwork covers promotional material officially published as part of the game.
