Konrad Curze
Hello everyone, here we are again with the weekly Primarch appointment.
This week I decided to paint Konrad Curze, a character with incredible psychological depth who could fascinate anyone and basically answers the question: what if Batman murdered and flayed criminals?
Jokes aside, I want to share one of my favorite aspects of the lore: the physical and psychological similarities between Curze and Corax. As you may notice, I intentionally painted Curze with the same pose and composition as Corvus. I also wanted to overlap the two portraits, since Konrad himself states that they could have been twins.
Below you’ll find the union of the two portraits, “the assassin and the murderer,” to quote Curze’s own words.
“I’ll tell you why. Envy of his mastery lay behind my hatred. I haunted the night, but Corax owned it.”
