The Great Angel donning his armour one last time

I have always loved the art of Schongauer and Durer and wanted to recreate something akin to their gothic engravings but within the Warhammer setting.

I completed the piece on the right about ten years ago. It is a study of Schongauer’s St Michael all done with brush and ink and took me around 40 hours to complete. I wanted to recreate the look of the cloth in this Sanguinius piece, with all of its complex folds. Hope you like it. Thank you
