Adulators Vs Coven
“My lord governor!” The auspex operator turned with a shocked expression on his face “I have detected warp translation inside the system, from my count 3 ships.” Planetary Governor Maximilus Autochian looked intently at the viewer, a stern expression on his face. He looked at the operator “Can you identify the ships? God-emperor preserve us if it’s more traitors” The operator furiously typed into his console for a few minutes until he backed away shocked. “Vox incoming! It’s marked with the signature of the Adulators third company” the vox operator made the sign of the aquila “It’s his angels come to us!”
The vox buzzed with warp interferance as the bald and heavily scarred face of an Astartes Captain adressed the Governors warroom. “I am Captain Uldritch Cassar, Master of the arsenal, Captain of Third Company Adulators. Who am I speaking to?” The voice was deep and harsh, even more so due to the interferance. Governor Autochian straightened himself and cleared his throat “My lord Captain! You speak with Governor Maximilus Adrian Olleran Autochian, Given stewardship of Aurelor II by His grace. Your arrival could not have been more timely Captain Cassar” Autochian gave the signal to send a data message to the Adulator fleet with the relevant data. “I believe half of the planets population has risen up in revolt under the control of a traitor cult, they call themselves the Mirrored Eye and have proven much more tenacious than my PDF had expected.” Cassar studied the reports for a minute before adressing the governor once again “Governor Autochian, if you have any airports available, prepare for our arrival before the day is out” The vox call was cut off. Cassar ordered the mobilization of 70 Astartes with light vehicle backup. The remainder of his warriors would stay behind and keep tabs on the planet from above.
Adulator Thunderhawk gunships burned red hot as they entered Aurelor II’s atmosphere. On the other side of the system, the warp storm has nearly reached its zenith and out of it’s multicolored shadows a space hulk translated into realspace.
