Monstrous Creatures

Not everything huge in the 40K universe rolls on treads. This is a collection of artworks where the main theme or a major part of the art is a monster, meaning something made of flesh, chitin, or warp stuff instead of metal. Greater daemons, carnifexes, hive tyrants, trygons, bio-titans, squiggoths, ambulls, and the countless other beasts that get thrown at the battlefield all belong here. I have always liked seeing how an artist handles these, since a creature gives you a lot more room to play with than armor plate does. If a piece has a monster and a machine going at each other it may show up in both this section and Engines of War.
