After the Battle
This piece came to be as a collaboration between ~uchuujinx and me. It was supposed to be a rather narrative after battle image of Warhammer 40K and I’m pleased with the outcome. A triumphant but serene Adepta Sororitas, gracious in victory. I added some blood because, well, you can’t behead something and don’t spill some blood.
~uchuujinx created the beautiful armor’s design and even a blurb for this picture:
“When it was revealed that the traitor Alpha Legion had set its diabolical gaze upon the Imperial Fortress World of Firenze VII, it was already too late. Their taint had infiltrated the hierarchy of bureaucrats, with false promises of ruinous power which the corrupt demagogues had planted through secret covenants. The Planetary Governor, Lord Medici, never expected his closest allies to betray him, revealing themselves for what they had become: Chaos cultists.
As the news of the strike reached the Imperial Cathedral, the sisters from the Order of the Ebon Chalice took their vows of battle to bring the light of the Emperor to the traitors, would not they rest until the offense was repaired. Facing a myriad of foes, the Sororitas bravely fought against the giant Space Marines of the betrayer Legion. Their hearts and their bolters resolved not to cease their holy fire until every head of the hydra was slain.
Only with the last usurper’s death, his head at the feet of the Battle Sisters, could the Light of the Emperor shine again… after the battle.”
