Bethrie Rosethorn – The Threads of Fate

Art by: alteya who did this lovely commission for me<3

Re-upload sorry, in my attempt to fix stuff I just kept breaking things D:

Sooo! This is a commission that basically plays on fate! Have you ever had a character in a story, tabletop game or anywhere else where her/his fate was massively changed due to a few decisions or events? This is somewhat a play of that. The broken mirrors represent some ah, grim ends.

The Threads of Fate

It is said the future is always in motion. A chance meeting, a minute decision, a stroke of luck or misfortune – all but threads in the great tapestry of fate. Tug one, and everything might unravel around you.

Bethrie Rosethorn, a forlorn, petty thief scaping a meagre existence in guts of the hive cities of Marix III now stands at the crossroads. Unbeknownst to her, a single turn will alter her destiny forever. Will she walk boldly to her doom, dying in the darkness like billions of her kind, alone and unremembered? Or will she fight to rise above this misery, forging her fortune in the brutal gang warfare of the underhive? Or, perhaps, she will be whisked away from her world to a life of servitude and adventure among the enigmatic Aeldari Corsairs? Find a new purpose in service to the Inquisition, learn to tread the Path of Righteousness side-by-side with the faithful Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas, or fall from grace at last and face eternal damnation? The God-Emperor alone may know the answer, and He remains ever-silent.
