Ettore Riordan; Chieftain of the Fell Blooded’s 2nd Warhost. He is the “Moroi” and the Revenant Blade of Gwydion.
The Fell Blooded are a Celtic/Slavic inspired Blood Angels Successor Chapter of the Cursed 21st Founding. They hail from the Feudal World of Gwydion. During the chapter’s creation their gene-seed had been spliced together with that of the Space Wolves. The goal of the splicing was to control or even subside the curse of the Black Rage. The experiments caused a higher potency of the Red Thirst while making the chapter less susceptible to the Black Rage than many others.
However once it’s reached the Black Rage has a very high chance to violently mutate the afflicted Space Marine similar to the Space Wolves curse of the Wulfen. The mutations turn these once noble sons of Sanguinius into Werebat like creatures. Large fangs grow from their maws, extremely sharp claws protrude from their hands, and their legs begin to bend into Digitigrade like limbs. Some have even grown bat like wings from their backs.
Though the Fell Blooded are seen as barbarians due to them clothing themselves in tartans, warpaint, furs and other trophies. They are far from it. Though their customs seem barbaric they are as noble and intelligent as any other of the Astartes. Even with scrutiny from many within the Imperium and horrific afflictions they are cursed with the Fell Blooded continue fight against the endless enemies of the Emperor.
