Kruger became one of the first Space Marines, warriors with superhuman strength and endurance. They were created to protect humanity from the most terrible enemies, and Kruger was one of the most dangerous fighters. Fred quickly became a legend among the Imperial Guards of Tanis. He was said to have supernatural powers, including the ability to enter and manipulate the dreams of his enemies. It was also claimed that Fred is the embodiment of the legendary killer known as Freddy Krueger. These rumors were supported by the fact that Fred often disappeared in the midst of a battle to appear elsewhere and strike at enemies. Some even claimed to have seen him in a dream fighting them, which further enhanced his mystical aura.
