Namalo is a veteran of the 6th Hei of the Divergent Sons’ 8th Clan, an off-worlder by birth, but forged into a son of Ish’teira by the desert’s cruelty and his own refusal to die anywhere else. His past is known only to his serfs and slaves, and they guard it with a silence that borders on fanaticism. He carries himself with dry realism and a calm, cutting wit, the kind of quiet sarcasm born from men who learned to laugh at the dark long before they learned to survive it. His humor is sharp and economical, slipped into conversation like a hidden blade: never loud, never performative, just precise enough to expose a lie or puncture someone’s self-importance. He speaks plainly, wastes nothing, not words, not effort, not sentiment. Beneath that controlled exterior sits a deliberate loyalty that he offers sparingly but without hesitation once earned.
