Purge the Demon

Yet another piece featuring the marines from the Exorcist Chapter of the Space Marines. This time doing what they do best! Purging the demon from the material realm! Anyway, painting this piece was a wonderful adventure in learning about things that should have been done much earlier in the painting process. Such things like ‘knowing exactly where all your point lights go before rendering’ (remembering them in your mind doesn’t count) and ‘settling the overall structure of the background so you know what your ambient lighting situation is going to look like’. These are but two of the many things that I have to keep in mind if I want to see improvement in future works.
