Sunrise over The Ecclesiarchy on Holy Terra

Here’s something I finished a few weeks ago.

Sunrise over the main administrative center of The Ecclesiarchy, on Holy Terra (Earth). Canoness Lydia of the Adeptus Ministorum receives an order from a novice.

The strap line for Warhammer 40k is, ‘In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.’ I’d probably add, ‘and oppressive, fanatical religion.’

Here is where the huge priesthood and bureaucracy convene, to keep that religion intact. Warhammer is a bottomless source of visual inspiration for me, and this great piece of music helped to set the mood I was after, too.
