Dark Millennium (Game)

Officially released artwork from Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium, a game that never made it to release but left behind a significant amount of official concept art and promotional material. Originally announced in 2007 and developed by Vigil Games for THQ, it was conceived as a large-scale action MMORPG set in the Sargos Sector of the 41st Millennium, pitting the forces of Order against the vile hosts of Destruction. The MMO elements were dropped in March 2012 due to the enormous cost of development, with plans to relaunch as a single-player title. Those plans never came to fruition. When THQ filed for bankruptcy in December 2012, Vigil Games was closed and the project was cancelled. The artwork here is a record of what could have been.
