Penitent Blades
The Penitent Blades are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and a successor of the Dark Angels, created during an unknown Founding. The Penitent Blades hail from a world with a surface that is made up of thousands of small landmasses suspended kilometres in the air above acidic oceans. How this phenomenon occurs is a mystery, but it has ensured the Penitent Blades are aerial combat experts. The Penitent Blades’ 2nd Company has four oversized squads providing gunship pilots, rather than the two in most other Unforgiven Chapters.
