Photobashing
Photobashing builds an image out of photographic source material, with shot plates, textures, and scanned surfaces cut together, warped into place, and then painted over until the seams disappear. It is a working method borrowed from film and game concept art, prized for how fast it gets to believable scale, weathered metal, smoke, and rubble that would take days to render by hand. Worth saying plainly: this is not AI generation. Every piece of source is chosen by the artist and the paint work on top is what pulls it into one image. Anything here that leans on AI carries the AI-Assisted tag instead. If you like your 40K gritty, grounded, and almost documentary, with hive cities that look photographed and armor with real corrosion in the plate, this is the gallery for you.
