Sons of Atrophy

The Sons of Atrophy are a Nurgle warband born from the 9th Company of the Basilisk Lords, a Blood Angels successor. Left to suffer plague and rust, their failed cybernetics gave way to black pitting and bony growths until flesh and armor became one. Feeling betrayed by the Emperor and the Omnissiah, they swore all mankind would suffer as they had. The sorcerer Moroag now rules as Chaos Lord, while the rotting Vrsinicus sits trapped and silently screaming on the command throne of their flagship, the Loathsome Renewal. The warband grows by capturing Astartes from other forces, from the Black Legion to the Iron Knights and Red Corsairs, and remaking them in the Plague God’s image.
