The Angel’s Lament by @niki.borrghoth
A short mini comic featuring Saint Solana, looking over a painting displayed over the walls of her Order’s inner sanctum. Dubbed “In Ira Gloria Est” by Imperial artist Nikolas Borrghoth, it depicts the Saint striking at the forces of Chaos, guided by the marble spirits of the Sisters who once made up her squad before her resurrection. They fell in the War of Eccleo, defending the Order’s homeworld against a Slaanesh invasion. Solana herself died in the same war. She comes down to look at this painting often, staring into the faces of the Sisters she had fought all her life beside. The grief and guilt she bears is beyond words. A void is left within her that she knows she will never be able to close. Their names were Katerina, Iris, Veronica and Evelynn.
And she will mourn them forever.
