Creature/Mecha Design – The Wailing Knight
This artwork was created as an entry for an art competition where the assignment was to design an original Warhammer 40K knight,. I was inspired to create something which felt like a mix of organic and metal, a machine that had become twisted to the point where it was part living creature.
Despite not having done a lot of hard surface work previously I really enjoyed the task. Of course most parts are directly based on Game Workshop’s Knight models, but parts are original and I had fun fitting it all together.
