Bastion Protector
As you can see, we mostly wanted the WH40K Universes Beyond cards to echo their historic MtG counterparts. Which I honestly have mixed feelings about. I don’t like to start from someone else’s work, and the end product doesn’t feel like it’s quite as much “me.” And it invites a very direct comparison to some of the best artists in the world, so there’s a wee bit of pressure and anxiety attached to that. But at the same time, it’s an homage to those artists, and the history of the game. (A decently OK one, I hope.) And it’s doing pretty well exactly what we’re going for with parallel universes.
