Restoration
This box cover was originally painted in 1988 and finished using the colour scheme provided to me, which was than revised and changed making this combination irrelevant. I did start to repaint the new colours but never had the time to complete it, I returned to this a couple of years back as an exercise with the move to digital, I also worked a version of the ‘new’ colours but actually preferred this restoration of the original painting. At this time much of the design decisions were still rather looser than they became, ariel perspective came as a surprise at the time too and I was specifically requested to brightly colour the looming machines in the background.
