Phoenix Lord Fuegan
For Inktober 2019 my idea was to make my own takes on the hero characters of the Eldar, glorious space-elves of Warhammer 40K.
This is Fuegan, the Burning Lance, the Phoenix Lord of Fire Dragons. He is prophesied to be the one who will call the Eldar to the final battle of the world, the Rhana Dandra, and to be the last Eldar to perish in the end. I wonder if this knowledge influences his outlook on life…
This concept was the first of the bunch and I felt its potential was not realised in full. After I started blocking out things in 3D for the later entries, I hoped to get back to this one. It took me more than a year to finally allow myself to make this rough sculpt. In time I am going to polish and pose it for a miniature.
