Captain deimos of the iron marauders
“Deimos was born sometime before the finding of perturabo during the Great crusade to a family of farmers on Olympia. He always was an oddity among his kin,as he grew well beyond the height of the children of his age and by the time he had reached his teenager years he was even taller than the adults of his family, his size and consequent strength were perfect for working the fields of the family.
It was after a day of work in the field that deimos life changed forever, as a group of bandits had raided their home while he was gone and had killed his family to plunder their house; deimos acted quickly and before the bandits could see him he took a gun from the corpse of one of the bandits and fired at them. In the surprise, none of the murderers could react quickly enough to fire back at deimos, and after a few seconds only a bandit that entered the house survived, and as shot deimos as he ventured in, and only the adrenaline made sure deimos got close enough to the man to stab him, but after that, he fell down into unconsciousness.
He would wake up hours later, patched up by a few medicae and in the presence of warsmith tharrax of the 37th grand battalion. The warsmith, impressed by the carnage brought by deimos, offered him a place in the grand battalion if he survived the trials and deimos accepted. Deimos eventually became a renowned member of the grand battalion because of his ferocity, loyalty to the warsmith, and monstrous size even for an astartes . Even during the heresy his loyalty to the warsmith would never weaver, and he would defend him from assassinations on numerous occasions; and deimos devotion would not go unnoticed as he was made commander of the warsmith honor guard, a position which hw has to this day.
He is a taciturn fellow, who only speaks to those he respects or likes,or to the brothers of his former grand battalion;those he resents however would only receive a stare of contempt, and will only hear his voice when it is the moment to die. ”
