Iron Warriors Legionaire with a Meltagun
it started as a joke piece for inktober
first, it was just a head of an Iron Warriors marine, squinting into the sky(at an enemy unshown), with a speech bubble of “i wish i had my autocannon”, then…i thought it should have a meltagun…to contrast with the wishful thinking of an autocannon, then…i thought i might try something new, draw the rest of the body with the pronounced perspective, then…why not draw a background for it as well.
so i dont have an inktober piece for yesterday and today. instead i just have this. prolly make up for it next weekend with doubles
what started as a joke piece ended up being a very enjoyable and time consuming piece to work on. the outcome isnt anything awful considering i started it without a plan to be like this.

ummm. the meltagun color scheme is based on what i THINK i remember as the meltagun colors in the game Firewarrior. i looked it up and its not really that. but good enough and…the rest are pretty standard iron warriors stuff
