The notorious Speed Freek Warlord Wazdakka Gutsmek led the first wave of invaders onto the surface of Armageddon. His madcap Speedwaaagh! routed entire regiments, carved apart Imperial supply lines and cut off hives from supply and reinforcement. The onslaught served, too, to stir those Orks already present on the planet. Teeming hordes surged from hiding in mountains and jungles to join the fighting, drawn into the energy of the growing Great Waaagh!.
