Order of the Wild Hunt
Citizens! Introducing the third place winner of our Sororitas art contest, the Wild Hunt!
In Imperium Nihilus, near Segmentum Obscurus lies the frozen death world of Ultavor Prime, the home world of the Order of the Wild Hunt. They and a small platoon of Cadian guardsmen who survived the Fall of Cadia took refuge there, and the Sisters protect them and use them to further their numbers. Ever since the world became a frozen wasteland covered in snow, the Order hunted the feral beasts of the world for their fur and meat. Those who have fallen hunting these beasts have their bodies taken back to their stronghold, named The Last Bastion. Their armor is to be taken off and to be cremated by the squads Sister Superior. But if any bones of the sister still remain, the squad who was with that particular sister will take it and adorn them. Some, who have the talent, will use it to make scrimshaws and small relics. If there are any skulls left, they will be placed on the power pack of the previous user with a lit candle next or on it, in a way to honor the fallen and guide the new recruits. Other sisters have parchment put over their powerpacks to carry the words of Saints who they worship. Their faith and ferocity is strong. Strong enough to gain the attention of the Inquisition as they are commonly used for kill team missions by the Ordo Hereticus. For their efforts, the Ordo, through “careful” negotiations with a nearby Forge World, grants the Wild Hunt weaponry and vehicles other Orders use. Now with the full arsenal of weaponry other Orders use and the strength of the Inquisition behind them, they now hunt the alien, the mutant and the heretic across the stars to reclaim their former glory.
