An ancient warrior entombed inside the casket of a leviathan dreadnought during the final days of the Iron Cage, Heagrglorth was once named Haephorost. The title of an old and now long-forgotten Olympian deity.
His chassis was equipped with a cyclonic melta lance and a siege claw, though he has seldom had cause to use these relics, only ever being awakened twice since the IVth Legion’s flight into The Great Eye. Sequestered away inside the bowels of a Dark Mechanicum’s forge-vaults upon Medrengard, his existence was a dreamless torpor until the Dispute of Iron where he arose to slaughter his own brothers by the will of Ogdromok.
After the warband fled the planet, his sleeping mind once again spent eternities in the void of undreaming blackness, slumbering in the depths of the Iron Scourge’s newly acquired flagship, a looted battle-barge that would soon be known as The Bonewrought. Though Imperial millennia later, the Forge Lord Kryteq would bring Haephorost’s might upon the Tyranids. Reciting the rituals of activation through laborious and heretical means.
The dreadnought found himself stepping upon the soil of a blasted mining world, blasting the savage xenos into molten sludge and crushing them in his mechanical talons alongside a force of allied World Eaters and Iron Warriors, The Iron Butchers, who were fighting with his own warband to quell the alien invasion.
Haephorost’s weaponry was certainly a boon to the conflict, though he sustained near-crippling and severe damage, almost being ripped from the casket by a Hive Tyrant. Booming the chant of the Litany of Iron to invigorate the Iron Warriors through his vox-amplifiers and own gritted teeth, he clutched the Tyrant’s head in his siege claw.
