Iron Butchers vs Eldar Corsairs
Incredible post-battle scene from @george.abalayan

A savage echo filled the winding corridors of the mining facility as Gorath and his squad cut their path, far from the main vanguard of the Iron Butchers. A realization hit him – they were dangerously distant. Culsu’s Raptors hadn’t yet disabled the external energy field; Armaguerra’s Terminators were yet to be teleported into the facility’s core. They were ahead of the plan, spurred on by an uncontrollable bloodlust.
The pulsating rhythm of “Blood for the Blood God” reverberated within Gorath’s skull. His squad echoed the sacred mantra, intermixed with the Unbreakable Litany. Then, the massacre commenced.
The clatter of metal against metal reverberated around them. Eldar Corsairs cascaded from the ceiling, their radiant blades arcing through the chilled air. One managed to sever Kirrian’s arm before even landing. Gorath responded in kind, the fury of battle consuming him.
His daemon sword carved through the first Corsair, splattering blood across the sterile metal walls. His power fist met the next, crushing the lithe figure with brutal force. Chaos ensued around him – a World Eater decapitated, an Iron Warrior disemboweled. But Gorath was trapped in the blood-red haze of Khorne’s fury, killing or waiting to be killed.
He caught a swift Eldar strike, his power fist closing around the xeno’s head. With a savage pull, the head separated from the body. Suddenly, Gorath realized that the din of battle has ceased. The xenos were dead, and his squad halved, yet the Blood God had been satiated.
His gaze fell on his power fist, still gripping the decapitated head of the Corsair. As the hydraulic servos whirred back to life, the enemy’s skull was crushed, like a fragile fruit, in his grasp.
“Keep hunting,” Gorath commanded over the vox-link.
