Iron Butchers vs Rak’Gol
Instagram messed up my last post so here we go again!
@michele_boc_ realized this wonderful artwork of my Iron Butchers assaulting a Rak’Gol outpost. I am really happy of the final outcome, while many people use the main playable faction as the main antagonist of their Homebrew chapters or Warbands, I wanted to explore the part of the 40K lore that is not strictly related to the tabletop game.
Now some lore:
Rak’Gol are a new threat for the Iron Butchers in the Koronus Expanse. The Warband has clashed many times against this dreadful xeno race in the last centuries, and it’s said that the Iron Butchers became aware of the existence of this race decades before the Imperium. It is not known why the Iron Butchers seem to have fought this race so often, but that cannot be a case of mere coincidence. Vhorrax Immanibus as lead the Warband in the Koronus Expanse in search for dark and forgotten knowledge or technology, and the Rak’Gol are either in possession of such thing or on the Iron Butchers’ way to obtain it.
