Killer
A simple character sketch, a dramatic figure I would have liked to have as large as possible on the page, the tall narrow format was to enable this in layout, I think it was confined to a quarter page box though.
A few years back I stopped using black ink except only occasionally, as my alternative I used a base mix of sepia and indigo, I found this gave me the wide range of tones that worked if reproduced in b&w but was much more pleasing to look at if printed in colour. It then only needs an odd colour detail to realise it as a full colour pic with a more subtle colour range.
