This one was done in March 2015, and is another multi-fold cover that features Kor’sarro Khan and co. taking out some trashy Chaos Cultists. Aside from the usual keeping as true to the miniatures as possible (a much enforced directive from GW), I’ve been able to sneak in my own ideas and design suggestions here and there
The brief was to show a cultist warband being run over by White Scar riders, so I thought it would have been nice to view the action from the perspective of a cultist member and have their last stand/”tactical retreat” framed against the setting sun. The pillar in the middle has my personal ‘tribute’ to the great people at BL that I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past few years. The ‘meta narrative’ is kinda dedicated to you, you know who you are!
