Corrupted by the pestigor sorcerer-priests of the Lord of Decay, the warp-born disease known as the ‘scourging hunger’ spread through the Iron Scourge like pond slime into a drowning man’s lungs. None were spared its caress, either killing those it infected or horribly twisting them into foetid, bloated servants of Nurgle.
Varnag Driako, the former assault captain, is one of many who embraced his new form and god with terrible vigour. Now favouring a weighty cleaver and sporting a mass of suppurating, writhing tentacles and a large 7-fingered claw where his bionic arms had once been. The parasitic worms that infest the bodies of the diseased and which give them their endless appetite for flesh co-habit his body en masse, flourishing in cavities between his shoulders.
