What started out as a photo study turned into something 40k.
I have always been fond of the Kasrkin design, so I tried to incorporate some of that into the stormtrooper featured here.
The Tempestus Scions certainly look more gothic(?) but now they feel significantly different from the rest of Imperial Guard. (Although thinking about it a bit more, that is probably the point.)
Reference photo was from an airsoft player, N.Ran on instagram.
Edit: Before I forget, the next most obvious reference point, from my point of view, for the Tempestus Scions would of course be JinRoh: Wolf Brigade.
