White Skulls – The Spear of Vulkan
A successor of the Salamanders, the White Skulls hail from the frozen death world of Kharon’s Rest, where only the strong endure. Masters of plasma warfare, they wield white-hot devastation in battle, their weapons burning as fiercely as the forge-worlds that birthed them.
On Meriath IX, three warriors of Damocles Squad led the vanguard against the Szarekhan Dynasty. Flanked by Veteran Terminators and the Redemptor Dreadnought Ferrum Annihilus, they drove into the heart of the Necron phalanx. Encircled, outnumbered, yet unbroken, the White Skulls pressed forward—each shot a blazing testament to their defiance.
This piece was a study of the styles and techniques of Paul Dainton and Jamie Martinez, so some poses may feel familiar. It was primarily an exercise in image-making and rendering, pushing myself toward this style. More importantly, it’s a gift for my best friend—his homebrew chapter, the White Skulls, commemorating our clashing armies after we got back into the hobby.
