The Lockwarden’s identity is kept a secret, even to those within the ranks of the Adeptus Custodes. His spoken names are scratched from his auramite, and it is unknown if the Lockwarden is truly only one person, or many inhabiting the role.
His ancient armor, the Umbral Plate, and his massive relic axe, Epigoni, are tools inherited by this shadowy figure for millennia, as they stand watch over the unknown riches and calamitous pitfalls of the Byzantine vaults beneath the Imperial Palace on Holy Terra. Whether facing threats from within, without, above or beneath, the Lockwarden always responds with grim, chilling justice.
