Scepter of Dawn
Our latest completed ship! Scepter of Dawn!
The vessel designated Scepter of Dawn was once a Retribution-class Battleship of venerable lineage, forged at Bakka in late M38 and lost with indeterminate cause during a punitive expedition beyond the Astryx Marches. Its rediscovery upon [Redacted] defied all orthodox analysis. The hulk was embedded stern-first within planetary crust; the stern itself was not merely destroyed but rendered unrecognizable, its machine-spirit fragmented into feral echoes.
Raised in 671.M41 under the authority of Arch-Magos 54-Devere, the hulk was to be ritually dismantled before seizure by the Ordo Hereticus at the command of Inquisitor [Redacted]. In sealed vaults above Rysa, the hull was cut in two and its original stern consigned to stellar annihilation. In its place was constructed a bespoke cathedral-stern under guidance from the Collegia Titanica of Mars, capable of housing and deploying God-Machines directly from the void.
Thereafter, the Scepter of Dawn fought without registry. It delivered Titans from orbit during the Carthae Suppression, shattered traitor fleets at the Helican Rift, and prosecuted the Threnos Purge in total isolation. Its final sighting places it at the edge of the Gloam Expanse, pursuing an anomalous contact of unknown provenance. No wreckage was found. No signal followed.
Absence is not negation. What is lost may yet be deployed.
