From humble beginnings came the captain of the Solar Blades 2nd Company. Niemand’s life began as a youth laborer in the mining camps of Hardland. His skills at combat quickly emerged when he took command of a patrol convoy whose leader had been killed by Ork pirates, leading the survivors to victory and even managing to slay an Ork with a mining hammer. Soon after these events, Niemand became part of the first generation of recruits to the newly established Solar Blades, ascending to Captaincy due to the respect of his peers. When the Indomitus Crusade passed near the Ghoul Stars, Niemand and his company were assigned to a bastion world as an early warning system against chaos activity. As new threats emerged on the Eastern fringe, Niemand and the 2nd Company received astropathic imperatives to rejoin the chapter, beginning a harrowing odyssey spanning the entire galaxy.
