The ‘Haunters’, are a marine chapter who’s secrets are difficult to uncover, the little that is known would fill no more than a few pages in the history books. The Soul Haunters successor chapter is unknown, even to themselves. This knowledge is a secret kept only by Belisarius Cawl. Rumours span the galaxy that the chapter originate from the traitor legion The Word Bearers, their reliance on Chaplains blessings before battle and obsessive beliefs are more than enough to convince some they teeter on the edge of darkness.
Known for their ritual taking of trophies from their enemy, the chapter believe they contain part of their soul. The ‘Haunters’ superstitiously believe they will prove devotion to the emperor, their battle prowess and dedication to their unit and chapter. With their superstitious rituals, predatory trophy hunts and ferocious aggression The Soul Haunters are a truly terrifying sight for any enemy unfortunate enough to face them.
