The Phoenix of Rai’naan
Centuries ago, the autarch of Craftworld Rai’naan was killed by the overwhelming daemonic hordes of Nurgle daemons, before the harrowed survivors were escorted away by the Masque of the Midnight Sorrow. Upon recovering their Craftworld with a revenant host of wraith constructs, the seers of Rai’naan imbued the armor of their dead Autarch with a small scale infinity matrix, comprised of the spirit stones of generations of heroes of the Craftworld. This gestalt animated suit of wraithbone armor is now a direct conduit to the ancestry, lineage, and sagely experience of the Craftworld’s history of leadership, not to mention the collective martial prowess of a score of peerless Asuryani heroes. The cost of this opened conduit is a vulgar rejection of the eternal peace promised all Aeldari when they die, a price few craftworlds would willingly pay. The Phoenix of Rai’naan, as it is now known, walks the torturous plane of reality due to the utter desperation of its people, a civilization on the brink of total apocalypse.
