It’s unclear whether the creature that came to be known as Weyland’s Bane I was an infant of the Lictor genus, or a specially evolved member of the Genestealer genus as it carried the hallmarks of both. What is known is that it exhibited a preternatural skill with psychological warfare, which it waged on the Tenebran 32nd regiment over a period of months. These attacks were initially thought to be random incursions by lesser Tyranid constructs, such as Hormagaunts, genestealers, and specially adapted termagants. But the sinister pattern of these strikes became apparent in their final coup de grace, wherein the elite Hunter Brood that would gain the moniker The Crimson Stalkers of Tenebra Prime assassinated the entire command structure of the Tenebran 32nd. And it was in the final moments of this slaughter that this particular leader creature gained its own title as it executed Colonel Weyland in a particular grizzly display before all this assembled officers captured here in one of the final vid frames before the command bunker surveillance system went offline. The ensuing loss of the Tenebra system to this third tier tendril of Hive Fleet Moloch proved crucial for the collapse of the defensive bulwark around the whole subsector.
