Seeking immortality was what drove the taciturn apothecary to study fleshcrafting under Fabius Bile, only to have in decades time realize that the very decay he was fighting to cure, would be the new focus of his studies. He crafted diseases and cancers in himself and in his subjects, watching the flesh melt and reform on bone; stronger flesh, immortal flesh. He began to worship the God of Plagues in silence, offering new maladies in the stead of spoken prayers, and the theological difference between him and Bile forced Marrowslug to leave the laboratories of his Master. He found solace in the Death Guard warband, The Lords of Silence, who allowed the continuation of his disease crafting.
