Iron Butchers
In the war-torn 41st millennium, the galaxy is the theatre of both interplanetary campaigns that span decades and deploy billions of soldiers, and inconsequential yet no less bloody battles fought in its remote corners by a handful of warriors. Among these smaller yet equally savage forces are the Iron Butchers, a nightmarish mix of the Iron Warriors’ absolute, monomaniacal obsession with warfare and the World Eaters’ unmatched, blood-frenzied brutality. They wage war relentlessly, for to stop would be to die. Not only because their warband is a living war machine consuming fuel, ammunition, resources, and the lives of thousands of slaves to sustain itself, but also because their unquenchable bloodlust binds them to the will of the Blood God. Should the slaughter cease, their blades would turn inward, a suicidal offering of their own lives to sate Khorne’s hunger for blood and skulls.
